Description:
The Ice Lake Trail is located in the San Juan National Forest and gives you several options. You can hike to Island Lake, V2, Ice Lake, and even on to Fuller Lake. The hike includes waterfalls, and abundant wildflowers in the summer. From the summit of V2, you can see Clear Lake, Island Lake, and Ice Lake.

From Ouray, take HWY 550 south, a little over 19 miles. Take a sharp right onto CO Rd 7/Forest Rd. 585. Continue on this raod for 4.5 miles to South Mineral Creek Campground. There is a parking lot across from the campground for the Ice Lake/Island Lake trail.
